Description

This tour always leads along the border. But you can safely leave the passport at home, because it is only the border between Baden and Württemberg. This border, which was always at the same time a district, state and religious border, once ran above Schramberg. Baden-Württemberg has only existed as a federal state since 1952. From the Schlosshof hikers' car park in Schramberg, the trail leads away from noise and stress to the "Dörfl ein am Himmel" (village in the sky) called Sulzbach. Sulzbach is a beautiful high valley with many farms at 750 m above sea level and wonderful views over the meadows and fields. The view is even better only from the tower on the Mooswaldkopf near the Memorial House. The tower in the house of the Black Forest Association at an altitude of almost 900 metres towers over everything. The viewing platform offers a comprehensive panoramic view of the Middle Black Forest, the Swabian Alb, the Rhine plain and the Vosges Mountains.
