Starting point
Remsbach Hiking Carpark, Schramberg-TennenbronnAnfahrt
From Schramberg: Through the Bernecktal (L175) to the district of Tennenbronn. At the company "Bruker + Günter" turn right into the Affentälestraße and follow it for 1.5 kilometers.
From St. Georgen: On the L175 to Tennenbronn. On the main road through the center of the village, past the gas station and about 500m further on turn left into Affentälestraße. Follow this road for 1.5 kilometers.
The parking is located on the left side of the road at the bus stop at the entrance to the vacation park.
Tipp
One stop at the start and finish point and one after about 2/3 of the way. Halfway there is a drink stop and a covered picnic area.

Description
The capercaillie trail in Schramberg-Tennenbronn is a premium trail and Black Forest connoisseur's path and leads for 10.5 kilometers through beautiful forests and over idyllic meadow paths. There was still a large capercaillie population here at the beginning of the 20th century. Along the way, there are always impressive distant views and beautiful resting places.
Information and installations along the way bring the hiker closer to the life of Europe's largest chicken bird. For example, the sound of courtship can be heard and an oversized nest serves as a resting place.
