Over 50 species of butterflies live here in the Eichbach Valley.
Our tip for kids: borrow the Schramboli explorer's backpack from the tourist information office. In it you will find a magnifying glass, binoculars, flashlight, compass and an explorer book - the right equipment for curious adventurers.
The numerous information boards provide tips for experiencing nature, and playground equipment provides variety. On the first half of the four-kilometer nature trail, you walk along the Eichbach brook. This first part is also easy to do with a stroller.
The turning point of the valley path is at a mill, from where you walk uphill to the edge of the forest. Is the insect hotel already buzzing with activity? Sunny benches invite you to take a break and offer wonderful views of the Black Forest. On forest paths it goes to the Sommermoos. By then you have discovered a lot about butterflies, the forest and its inhabitants. At Sommermoos the view of Black Forest mountains opens up, then the path goes downhill to the starting point at Talstraße.
