What is special about the "Erich Hauser Art Trail" in Schramberg is the diversity of the works, which come from different periods of his artistic career. Here we encounter not only the Hauser we think we know, but also the unknown Hauser, the traces from his time of artistic search, his departure in the 1950s.
The sculptor Erich Hauser (*1930) experimented as a young artist with a wide variety of materials during his time in Schramberg from 1952 to 1959. He made sculptures from stone, concrete, wood and metal, drew, modelled and carved. He gained his first experience of stone sculpture when he recreated the fountain figure for the neo-Gothic Joseph Fountain. Five Hauser works can be seen in public spaces in Schramberg-Talstadt.
