The Grund- und Werkrealschule is an all-day elementary school in elective form. Parents can choose whether to register their child for half-day or full-day.
The full-day program runs from Monday to Thursday with 8 hours each day. Maximum possible hours of care are Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Children who are registered for the open all-day school also participate in the joint hot lunch at the school.
